The body of a young man who went missing a day earlier was found on Wednesday in Panjgur district, police said.
According to police, the victim was identified as Zohaib s/o Muhammad Azam, a resident of the Washbod area of Panjgur.
Police officials said Zohaib was abducted on Tuesday during an interview being conducted at the Municipal Committee office in Washbod. They said the abduction was carried out by unidentified armed individuals.
Eyewitnesses told police that the abductors arrived in a vehicle and forcibly took Zohaib away from the premises.
Panjgur police said the body was recovered on Wednesday morning from the Bonistan Margu Dan area. Officials said the body bore clear signs of torture.
Police said the body was shifted to the district hospital after completion of the required legal procedures. No arrests have been reported, and an investigation into the incident is ongoing.
