The Balochistan Liberation Front (BLF), a “pro-independence” armed group, said on Wednesday that five of its fighters were killed in a Pakistani drone strike in the Kalat region on December 25.
BLF spokesperson Major Gwahram Baloch identified the men as Abdul Ahad Dehwar, alias Gazzain; Israr Ahmad, alias Ibrar; Shoaib Ahmad, alias Subedar; Obaidullah Siyahpad, alias Sabzu; and Faisal Badini, alias Qazi.
He said Abdul Ahad, who joined the group in 2023 and later served in its training wing, was injured in the strike and died of his wounds two days later. The group said the other four fighters were killed at the site.
According to the BLF, the fighters had been assigned various organizational roles, including training and intelligence work, and were present at a camp targeted in the strike.
The group said it “paid tribute” to the fighters and vowed to “continue the struggle until the mission of our martyrs is fulfilled.”
