At least three people, including a female school principal, were killed and two others injured in separate shooting incidents reported from different districts of Balochistan.
In Sibi, a female school principal was shot dead near a girls’ high school in the Allahabad area. According to Sibi police, the victim arrived at the school from her home as part of her routine when unidentified armed individuals opened fire on her outside the school’s main gate, killing her on the spot.
Police said the deceased was the principal of Allahabad Girls High School. The motive behind the attack and the identity of the assailants remain unclear, and investigations are ongoing.
In a separate incident in Dera Murad Jamali, unidentified armed individuals opened fire near the Gharbi High School area, killing police havaldar Ali Gohar Magsi before fleeing the scene.
Police took the body into custody and shifted it to a hospital, where, after completion of legal formalities, it was handed over to the family.
Meanwhile, in the industrial area of Hub Chowki, an industrial worker was killed during a reported robbery attempt near the NP Cotton Factory. Police said the victim, identified as 30-year-old Nazar Ali s/o Khimoon Khaskheli, a resident of Sajawal in Sindh, was shot dead after offering resistance.
In another incident, a man identified as Hassan s/o Hayat was injured in a shooting in the Haji Ghazi Sordo area of Panjgur. He was shifted to the Civil Hospital for medical treatment.
Separately, in the Buleda area of Kech district, unidentified armed motorcyclists opened fire, injuring Majeed Adam, a resident of Balochabad, Mand. He was also shifted to a hospital for treatment.
