The Baloch “pro-independence” group, the Baloch Republican Guards (BRG), said its members carried out two separate attacks late on Monday night, targeting a gas pipeline in Dera Bugti and a telecommunications tower near Dhadar in Kachhi district.
In a statement issued to the media, BRG spokesperson Dostain Baloch claimed that the group’s members planted explosives on a gas pipeline leading to Sui, destroying it near Zain Koh check post number six in the Dera Bugti area.
The spokesperson further claimed that, in a separate operation, the group destroyed a Ufone telecommunications tower near Dhadar, alleging that the tower was installed for surveillance purposes.
The statement said the BRG was responsible for both incidents and asserted that such actions would continue until what it described as the “freedom of Balochistan.”
