The leader of a Baloch armed group fighting for an independent Balochistan has urged Baloch people to increase their participation in what he described as the struggle for national rights and freedom.

In a message posted on the social media platform “Truth,” the head of the Balochistan Liberation Front (BLF), Dr Allah Nazar Baloch, said the movement had entered a “decisive” phase.

“I appeal to the Baloch nation to actively participate in the ongoing struggle for their national rights and freedom,” he said.

He said “unity, awareness and collective effort” were now more necessary than ever, adding that “the enemy is taking its last breaths,” without giving details.

Dr Allah Nazar also urged supporters to remain vigilant about what he described as local informers and to share information with Baloch fighters so that, he said, their efforts remained “strong and secure.”

Dr Allah Nazar, a physician who later became a guerrilla commander, is the chief of the BLF, one of several armed groups fighting Pakistani forces in Balochistan.
The BLF has stepped up attacks in recent years and has also formed a suicide attack unit, a development that analysts say could further intensify the conflict in Balochistan.
