One person was killed and another injured in a firing incident involving Pakistani Paramilitary forces on the M-8 CPEC route at Buleda Cross, near Turbat in district Kech.
According to accounts from the scene, Frontier Corps (FC) personnel opened fire after encountering two individuals travelling on a motorcycle. Ubaidullah, son of Basham, a resident of Hoshap, died at the site, while Junaid, son of Ghafoor, also from Hoshap, sustained injuries. The body and the injured man were taken to Teaching Hospital Turbat for medical treatment and official procedures.
Recent weeks have seen an increase in reported incidents of firing and drone attacks by security forces across Balochistan, resulting in several civilian casualties and injuries. Civil society groups and local residents have called for thorough and transparent investigations into such incidents.
