Reports of enforced disappearances continued to surface from multiple districts of Balochistan, with families staging protests and appealing to authorities for the safe recovery of their loved ones.

According to details received, on the night of 13 November Pakistani military forces allegedly conducted a raid on a residence in the Menaz area of Tehsil Buleda, district Kech, and detained two brothers who have since remained missing. The individuals were identified as Zaheer son of Rahim Jan and Waseem son of Rahim Jan.

Family members stated that both brothers worked on their family farmland and had no affiliation with any political party or organisation. They have called for their immediate and safe return.

Separately, on 7 November, Brahui-language poet Ata Anjum was reportedly taken into custody from his home in Mastung by Pakistani armed forces and his whereabouts remain unknown since.

The Voice for Baloch Missing Persons (VBMP) condemned the disappearance, terming it a violation of national laws and citizens’ rights. The organisation urged the government to take notice of the poet’s “enforced disappearance” and to ensure his safe recovery.

In Turbat, Changaiz Imam, a warder at Central Jail Turbat, has been missing for the past three days. According to his family, he left his home in Bag, Turbat, around 1 p.m. on 11 November on his motorcycle to report for duty but never reached the prison. His motorcycle has also not been found. The family has appealed to the public to share any information that may assist in locating him.

Meanwhile, protests continued in other parts of Balochistan. In Khuzdar, the family of Huzayfa Ghaffar, who was allegedly forcibly disappeared from Naal on 5 November by Pakistani forces, blocked the Naal CPEC road in protest. Traffic remained suspended for several hours, resulting in long queues of vehicles. Protesters demanded Huzayfa’s safe recovery, and the Baloch Yakjehti Committee announced its support for the demonstration.

In another incident, Pazeer Nasir Plizai, the elected Vice Chairman of Union Council Killi Kocha Buleda in Kech district, was reportedly subjected to enforced disappearance for the second time. According to his family, he went missing on 8 November at around 3 p.m. after dropping his young son at a madrassa in Kohda Yousaf. His communication has remained completely cut off since then.

It is noteworthy that Pazeer Nasir was previously detained on 4 February 2025 in Gwadar and was released on 7 September after a month-long disappearance. His earlier detention had led to a protest sit-in organised by the Haq Do Tehreek Balochistan outside the Deputy Commissioner’s office in Gwadar, which concluded after assurances from authorities.

Families across the affected districts continue to appeal to the government and relevant authorities to investigate these incidents, provide information regarding the whereabouts of the missing individuals, and ensure their safe return.
