Three Baloch “pro-independence” armed groups said on Saturday they carried out separate operations in Balochistan’s Kalat, Washuk and Dera Bugti districts, claiming to have killed alleged collaborators, seized weapons, destroyed communications infrastructure and inflicted casualties on Pakistani armed forces.
BLA says it killed ‘state agent’ and associates in Kalat raid
The Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) said its fighters killed a man it described as an “agent” of the Pakistani army, Shakir Saadullah Langove, along with several associates, in an intelligence-based raid in the Manguchar area of Kalat district.
Jeeyand Baloch, the BLA spokesperson, said fighters attacked a hideout in Sarband and “neutralised” Shakir Saadullah Langove, Shakir Khairullah Langove, Muhammad Karim and Muhammad Zahir. The statement said weapons and a vehicle were seized from the site.
The BLA accused Shakir Saadullah of running a so-called “death squad” that it said assisted Pakistani armed forces in raids, extorted travellers, trafficked drugs and targeted Baloch activists. It alleged he was involved in “the martyrdom of several freedom fighters” and in “humiliating women and elders.”
The group said it had previously warned him to stop what it called “anti-Baloch activities” and described the raid as retaliation for alleged crimes carried out “at the behest of the Pakistani army and Military Intelligence (MI).”
BLF says it seized police station and destroyed telecom towers
The Balochistan Liberation Front (BLF) said its fighters took control of a police station in Washuk and destroyed two Ufone telecommunications towers in Washuk and Jhao in operations conducted on 7 November.
In a statement, BLF spokesman Major Gwahram Baloch said the group surrounded the Dali police station at around 10 p.m., detained the officers and interrogated them. It said the officers were released after fighters “confirmed none were involved in anti-social activities,” while weapons and motorcycles were confiscated before the building was set on fire.
The BLF said it destroyed a Ufone tower in Dali and another in Bigaari Zilag, Jhao, claiming the infrastructure was used by state agencies to track the movements and communications of Baloch fighters and civilians.
The group said Pakistani forces responded by firing mortar rounds but that BLF fighters had already withdrawn to secure locations. It said the attacks were part of a broader effort to “paralyse Pakistan’s espionage apparatus.”
BRG claims attack in Dera Bugti
The Baloch Republican Guards (BRG) said its fighters targeted a checkpost manned by Pakistani armed forces at the 238 Khattan bridge in Dera Bugti late on Friday.
BRG spokesperson Dostain Baloch said multiple grenade-launcher rounds were fired inside the post, causing casualties and material losses. The group accepted responsibility for the operation and said attacks would continue “until the liberation of Balochistan.”
The Pakistani military’s media wing, Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), had not issued any statement on the reported attacks by Sunday morning.
