A man was reportedly killed in what has been described as a staged encounter during an ongoing military operation by Pakistani security forces in the Kalat district of Balochistan.
According to local sources, Pakistani forces, including helicopter support, have been conducting operations in the Mahlebi area and surrounding regions. Eyewitnesses allege that personnel from the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) killed a detainee and left the body by the roadside. The identity of the deceased has not yet been confirmed.
The incident comes amid reports of heightened military activity and security operations in Kalat, with forces reportedly engaged in ground and aerial campaigns over the past two days.
In a related incident last month, three bodies were discovered in the same district following a large-scale military operation. According to reports, the faces of the deceased had been disfigured with acid, making identification difficult. The victims remain unidentified.
Authorities have not issued an official statement regarding these reports.
