The Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) said on Monday its fighters have killed three individuals it described as “agents” of the Pakistani military in separate operations in Balochistan’s Mach, Quetta, and Hoshab regions.

In a media statement, BLA spokesperson Jeeyand Baloch said the group’s fighters shot dead Naveed Sumalani, a resident of Sumalani Colony, Mach, in an attack near Darbar Hotel on Saturday night.

The BLA alleged that Sumalani was an operative of a so-called “death squad” formed by the Pakistani military and intelligence agencies, and accused him of leading a gang that recruited young boys.

The group further claimed that Naveed Sumalani had facilitated military raids on homes, the “humiliation of women and elders,” and the enforced disappearance of youth in Mach city, as well as collecting extortion money at roadblocks.

In a separate operation, the BLA said its fighters killed Ameer Das, son of Pyar, in an attack near Burma Hotel in Quetta. The group alleged that Das was an “agent” working for Military Intelligence (MI) in disguise.

The BLA also said its fighters had arrested Ghulam, son of Abdullah, in Hoshab during an earlier operation. According to the statement, Ghulam Abdullah “confessed” to being an agent for a so-called “death squad” linked to the Pakistani military and its intelligence agencies, acting under the patronage of Akhtar Saeed.

The BLA claimed Ghulam Abdullah admitted to facilitating military operations in Balgatar, Kolwah, and Hoshab, and participating in attacks on both Baloch fighters and civilians.

The group said he revealed that Military Intelligence (MI) provided a list of 35 people and pistols for target killing to the so-called “death squad” headed by Akhtar Saeed in Hoshab Bazar and its surroundings.

The statement said Ghulam Abdullah was sentenced to death by the “Baloch National Court” and was executed by BLA fighters for “national crimes.”
