The enforced disappearance of Saeed Ahmed, a security guard at the Turbat Law College, has sparked protests in Kech district, with demonstrators blocking the M-8 highway at Tajaban. The protest, led by Saeed Ahmed’s family and local residents, saw a significant turnout of women and children demanding his immediate release.

According to the protesters, Saeed Ahmed s/o Naik Bakhsh is a law-abiding citizen who has served as a security guard at the law college for several years. They alleged that he was forcibly taken by Pakistani forces two days ago and has been missing since.

The demonstrators vowed to continue their sit-in and disrupt traffic until Saeed Ahmed is recovered. Following negotiations between his family and Assistant Commissioner Kech, Muhammad Jan, authorities assured the family that he would be released within three days. The protesters temporarily lifted the blockade after this assurance but warned of escalating demonstrations if he is not recovered within the given timeframe.

Saeed Ahmed, a resident of Singabad in Kech, was reportedly taken on March 5 from the law college during his duty hours by unidentified men in plain clothes. His family has called his disappearance an inhumane act and has vowed to expand their protest if he is not brought back within the promised period.
