The wave of enforced disappearances in Balochistan continues, with Eight more individuals reportedly taken by Pakistani forces from different areas, while three previously missing persons have been released.

According to reports, on March 3, Pakistani forces forcibly disappeared Jalal Ahmed from Sabzi Mandi Ghatti Dhor, Gwadar, at around 9:30 PM. His family said that he had been working at a diesel depot for several years before being taken.

On March 4, Pakistani forces detained and disappeared Liyaqat Baloch, son of Bijjar, and Bakhtiyar Baloch, son of Hassan, from Ronjhan, Mashkay. They were transferred to an undisclosed location.

Additionally, local sources reported that on February 27, Pakistani forces forcibly disappeared a Levies officer, Irshad, son of Wahid Baloch, a resident of Mashkay.

Meanwhile, in Panjgur, security forces allegedly abducted Sheh Mazar, son of Barkat Ali, a resident of Tasp, Panjgur.

Separately, in Malir Kohi Goth, Karachi, Walid, son of Ata Muhammad, and Zohaib, son of Zabad, were forcibly disappeared by Pakistani forces on February 19. Their families fear they may face false accusations and have demanded their safe return.

In another case, a young man was taken from his home in Turbat. According to his family, a large contingent of Pakistani forces raided Chahen Kaur, near Turbat University, Wednesday night and forcibly disappeared Quraish, son of Naeem Karim, a resident of Taplo Nag, Zamuran.

The victim’s family has called for his immediate release, stating that Quraish is an innocent young man. “If any institution has concerns, he should be presented before the courts instead of being forcibly disappeared,” they said.

The families of the disappeared individuals have urged human rights organizations to intervene and demanded the immediate and safe recovery of their loved ones.

It is important to note that enforced disappearances in Balochistan have surged significantly, with more than 50 cases reported in the past two days alone.
