An individual was killed in a shooting incident in the Balochistan’s capital city of Quetta on Friday.
According to reports, unidentified armed individuals opened fire in the Gohar Abad area of Quetta, killing Doda Khan alias Takkari.
It is reported that the deceased was associated with a government-backed militia. Baloch nationalists allege Pakistani intelligence agencies of forming militias in the region to counter the insurgency in Balochistan.
In the past, these groups have been attacked by the Baloch “pro-independence” armed groups, but this attack has not been claimed by anyone.
Following the incident, security forces collected evidence and initiated further investigation.
