Two pro-independence Baloch armed groups, the Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) and the Balochistan Liberation Front (BLF), have claimed responsibility for a series of attacks on Pakistani forces in different parts of Balochistan on Wednesday.

BLA spokesperson Jeeyand Baloch, in a media statement, claimed responsibility for three separate attacks targeting Pakistani forces and supply vehicles in Tump, Mastung, and Panjgur.

He stated that BLA fighters ambushed Pakistani army personnel in Tump, Kech, between Tuesday and Wednesday night. The attack occurred while more than thirteen Pakistani soldiers were on patrol. “The fighters opened fire with automatic weapons and grenade launchers, killing seven soldiers on the spot and injuring at least four others. Three of the deceased were identified as Soldier Saddam, Soldier Sami, and Basir,” he added.

In a separate attack on Wednesday afternoon, BLA fighters targeted a Pakistani soldier at Alizai Bypass in Mastung while he was riding a motorcycle on his way to camp. The soldier was seriously injured in the attack.

Jeeyand Baloch further claimed that on February 10, BLA fighters attacked Pakistani military supply vehicles in Panjgur. “The attack resulted in the destruction of two Mazda vehicles, and the drivers were released with a final warning,” he stated.

Meanwhile, another Baloch armed group, the Balochistan Liberation Front (BLF), claimed responsibility for targeting Pakistani forces and a construction company vehicle in two separate attacks in Pasni, a tehsil of Gwadar.

BLF spokesperson Major Gwahram Baloch stated that BLF fighters carried out an IED attack on a vehicle in a convoy of Pakistani forces at Johi Kulanch, Pasni. “The explosion completely destroyed the targeted vehicle, eliminating all six personnel on board,” he claimed.

He further stated that BLF fighters also set fire to and destroyed a truck belonging to a road construction company in the same area.

Both BLA and BLF reaffirmed that their operations against Pakistani forces, supply lines, and military installations will continue. They describe these forces as “occupiers” and insist that their attacks will persist until Balochistan attains independence.
