The Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) and Balochistan Liberation Front (BLF) have claimed responsibility for multiple attacks targeting Pakistani security forces in different areas of Balochistan, resulting in casualties and damage.

According to BLA spokesperson Jeeyand Baloch, the group’s fighters carried out two separate attacks in Quetta. The first attack took place on Sunday night near the Degree College checkpoint on Sariab Road, where BLA fighters used grenade launchers to target Pakistani forces, inflicting casualties and financial losses. In the second attack, BLA fighters struck the Kerani checkpoint in Quetta’s Brewery area, again using grenade launchers to target “enemy positions successfully”.

Meanwhile, BLF spokesperson Major Gwahram Baloch stated that the group’s fighters launched eight different operations against Pakistani forces, police stations, and Levies checkpoints in Awaran and Kech. The attacks also included the seizure of weapons from security personnel and the burning of a government rest house and a mobile tower.

One of the major attacks took place in the Malar Machi area of Awaran, where BLF fighters attacked a Pakistani military camp with heavy weapons, killing one soldier and injuring two others. Another attack occurred on the night of February 16 in Gajar, Mashkay, where BLF fighters targeted a military camp using rocket launchers and other modern weapons, resulting in multiple casualties, the statement said.

The BLF also claimed responsibility for a February 15 attack on a Levies checkpoint in Gajar, Mashkay, where they disarmed Levies personnel but later released them after a warning. On the same day, another attack targeted the Mashkay police station, causing structural damage but no reported casualties.

Additionally, in the Kalar area of Mashkay, BLF fighters attacked a Levies checkpoint, seizing a weapon from an officer before releasing him unharmed. The group also set fire to a government rest house and a Ufone mobile tower in the same area, it said.

According to BLF spokesperson, on February 16, another attack took place in the Goarkop area of Kech, where BLF fighters fired multiple grenade launcher rounds at a military camp, reportedly causing casualties. In response, Pakistani forces fired mortar shells into civilian areas, though BLF fighters managed to retreat safely, he stated.

Both the BLA and BLF reaffirmed their commitment to continuing their armed struggle for Balochistan’s independence and the removal of Pakistani forces from the region.
