A gas leak explosion in Quetta’s Kalidiba area injured five people, including women and children, early Friday morning, police officials said.
The explosion caused significant damage to a residential unit, and rescue teams promptly transported the injured to a nearby hospital for medical treatment.
It is pertinent to mention that incidents of gas leaks and explosions have become increasingly common during the winter season. The Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) has been implementing scheduled and unscheduled load shedding in various parts of Balochistan. These issues, coupled with gas leaks, have resulted in numerous casualties in Quetta and other regions of Balochistan.
