Six people have reportedly been forcibly disappeared in Balochistan and Dera Ghazi Khan, adding to the rising number of enforced disappearances reported in the region this month.

Meanwhile, a campaign has been announced to mark 11 years since the disappearance of Saifullah Rodeni, a police constable from Surab.

Six Enforced Disappearances Reported

In Mashkay’s Nookjo area, two men—Sameer, son of Faqeer, and Muslim, son of Jumma—were reportedly detained by Pakistani forces on November 11. Their whereabouts remain unknown.

In Kech district, Wahab and Sameer, both sons of Sakhi Dad, were reportedly detained in the Buleda area while hunting. Relatives said the two were taken to a military camp and have been missing since.

In Dera Ghazi Khan, a Baloch-populated area under Punjab’s administration, two individuals—Azam Jan Marri and Nabi Lal, son of Qaisar Marri—were also reportedly forcibly disappeared. Local sources said Nabi Lal’s father, Qaisar Marri, was killed by Pakistani forces in 2012.

Separately, in the Dasht area of Kech, Dr. Liaqat, who was detained earlier, has been released.

Advocacy groups have documented 33 enforced disappearances in Balochistan so far this month. The Baloch Yakjehti Committee (BYC) and Voice for Baloch Missing Persons (VBMP) reported 127 cases in October. While some individuals were released, many remain missing.

In a statement, the BYC called for international human rights organizations to intervene. “State repression and human rights violations have left no family in Balochistan untouched. The Baloch people face systematic state repression and genocide. Global organizations must act to address these grave violations,” it said.

Campaign for Saifullah Rodeni

Meanwhile, the rights group Baloch Voice for Justice (BVJ) has announced a campaign on X (formerly Twitter) to mark 11 years since the disappearance of Saifullah Rodeni.

Rodeni, a police constable, was reportedly detained on November 22, 2013, while traveling from Surab to Khuzdar. His whereabouts remain unknown.

In its statement, BVJ called on activists, journalists, and students to join the campaign to raise awareness and pressure authorities for Rodeni’s recovery.
