Pakistani military forces have launched large-scale operations in Balochistan, along with a widespread shutdown of internet services.

In Panjgur district, a military operation is underway in the mountainous Tehsil Paarom area. Local sources report that Pakistani forces have moved into the Paarom mountain range from locations including Bakad Dan in Buleda and Paarom Maro.

A similar operation is ongoing in the Machh area of Bolan, particularly around Pir Ghaib and nearby regions. Local sources report that communication services in these areas have also been suspended.

Meanwhile, Internet data services have been cut in additional regions of Balochistan, following earlier shutdowns in Gwadar, Kech, Panjgur, and Khuzdar.

The shutdown has now expanded to areas including Ziarat, Kalat, Mangocher, Bolan, Dukki, Loralai, Pishin, Harnai, and Machh.

Residents say the outage has disrupted daily activities, making it difficult to complete financial transactions through services like EasyPaisa and JazzCash. Many residents argue that internet access is essential for education, commerce, and communication.

Some fear the shutdowns could soon extend across all of Balochistan.

Unverified reports suggest the Government of Pakistan has ordered the suspension of mobile data services across Balochistan due to security concerns.

Authorities have not issued statements regarding the military operations or the internet shutdown. However, Balochistan’s Chief Minister, Sarfaraz Bugti, has previously suggested such shutdowns as a response to security concerns.
