On Friday, the German organization LebensHilfe hosted an event in the border city of Frankfurt Oder, showcasing the geography, culture, and music of Balochistan.

Speaking at the event, Hafsa Fateh described Balochistan as “a divided country across Pakistan, Iran, and Afghanistan.” She emphasized its rich culture and diversity, calling it “one of the world’s most unique and dynamic cultures.”

“Balochistan’s culture is a tapestry woven with the threads of various civilizations,” Ms. Hafsa said. “It reflects a history, music, art, and hospitality that have evolved over thousands of years.”

She explained that despite influences from Persian, Indian, Arabic, and Central Asian cultures, the Baloch people have preserved their distinctive identity. She described their resilience as a “testament to thriving in a challenging environment.”

During the event, attendees sampled traditional Balochi dishes and learned about the region’s history and geography. Discussions focused on Balochistan’s unique traditions, aiming to foster a deeper understanding of the region’s heritage and way of life.
