A lady doctor was injured after being shot by armed men in the Dukki area of Balochistan. According to the police, the incident occurred at a private clinic where gunmen opened fire on Dr. Sajida and fled the scene.
The injured doctor was shifted to the Dukki Civil Hospital. The police reported that two armed motorcyclists were involved in the shooting, while the doctor stated that the husband of a female patient shot her due to a dispute over a delivery case, leaving her wounded.
The Young Doctors Association of Balochistan condemned the attack, releasing a statement about a separate incident in District Sherani, where a doctor was attacked by Levies personnel. They criticized the Deputy Commissioner’s biased behavior and refusal to take legal action, calling it evidence of his incompetence. They urged the Chief Minister of Balochistan and the Chief Secretary to take notice of the incident, warning that if no legal action is taken against the perpetrators within 48 hours, they will call for protests across Balochistan, holding the Deputy Commissioner responsible.
The association further stated that this attack is not just on an individual but on the entire medical community and the rule of law. They demanded immediate and strict legal action against those involved in the incident.
In the meantime, in Kohlu, unidentified assailants opened fire, resulting in the death of a child and the injury of another person. According to Levies personnel, unknown individuals fired at a house in the Tehsil Kahan area of Kohlu, killing a three-year-old child and injuring another person. The injured were immediately shifted to the hospital, and further investigation is ongoing.
