The Balochistan Liberation Front (BLF), a “pro-independence” Baloch armed group, has claimed responsibility for attacks on Pakistani security forces in the Kech and Panjgur districts of Balochistan.
In a media statement, BLF spokesperson Gwahram Baloch said the group’s fighters targeted a Pakistani army camp in the Gowarkop area of Kech on the night of September 9th. The group claimed that multiple A1 shells were fired into the camp, followed by an attack with heavy weapons. The spokesperson said the attack resulted in significant casualties and damage to the camp.
The BLF also claimed responsibility for an attack on a police vehicle in Panjgur on September 8th. According to the group, Police Sub-Inspector Shakeel Ahmed was killed in the assault.
Gwahram Baloch warned police forces against pursuing the group’s fighters, stating that they would meet the same fate as the Pakistani army if they continued.
The group reiterated its commitment to armed resistance, describing Balochistan as occupied territory. The BLF vowed to continue its attacks until what it calls the “liberation” of Balochistan.
