Two Baloch men who were allegedly forcibly disappeared by Pakistani security forces in Balochistan’s Mastung and Nushki districts have been released and returned to their families, local sources confirm.
The family of Adnan Baloch, who was forcibly disappeared several days ago from Killi Karak, Mastung, has confirmed his safe return. In a separate case, Amanullah Sumalani, reportedly abducted by Pakistani intelligence agencies three months ago in Nushki, has also been released.
While these individuals have returned, reports of enforced disappearances continue to surface across Balochistan regularly. Advocacy groups, including Voice for Baloch Missing Persons (VBMP) and the Baloch Yakjehti Committee(BYC), have voiced concerns about the rising number of such cases. These groups claim that many forcibly disappeared individuals are later found dead in what they describe as “fake encounters.”
Despite these occasional releases, advocacy groups in Balochistan assert that the trend of enforced disappearances shows no signs of abating.
