The Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) has intensified its campaign against Pakistani forces in Balochistan, releasing videos of its recent operations under the banner of “Operation Herof” in Gwadar and Bolan regions of Balochistan.

In a video released on the BLA’s official channel, Hakkal, the group showcased its operation in the Jewani area of Gwadar. The footage begins with BLA fighters, armed with modern weapons, traveling in vehicles from a populated area towards the coastal highway. Locals can be seen standing calmly, waving at the fighters as they pass by. The BLA members then block the Makran Coastal Highway, causing traffic to come to a standstill on both sides, resulting in long queues of vehicles. The BLA fighters are seen engaging in calm conversations with the stranded civilians.

The video further shows the BLA attacking a police station, setting government vehicles ablaze, and detaining security personnel during the blockade of the coastal highway in Gwadar and Jewani. The militants confiscated weapons and equipment from the detained officers and also set fire to two vehicles transporting minerals, four police vehicles, and the police station itself. Hoisting the flag of “Free Balochistan,” the fighters addressed the local population, emphasizing that their struggle was for the survival of the Baloch people and against the exploitation of their natural resources. After completing their operation, the militants reopened the road, allowing the vehicles to pass.

Another video, also released by the BLA on the Hakkal channel, documents a deadly operation in the Bolan region. This seven-minute video begins with thermal scope footage, showing BLA fighters had targeted Pakistani military personnel when they were patrolling on motorcycles. In the video, it shows some of the Pakistani military personnel are already lying on the ground. The fighters approach and fire at the soldiers to confirm their deaths, and a military vehicle is also targeted using the thermal scope. Later in the video, the dead bodies of Pakistani soldiers can be seen, while the BLA fighters set their motorcycles on fire. The video ends with a display of weapons seized from the Pakistani soldiers. The Pakistani military later confirmed the deaths of four personnel in this attack, including Army Captain Muhammad Ali Qureshi.

Additionally, during Operation Herof in Bolan, the BLA destroyed a major railway bridge using explosives, further disrupting the region’s infrastructure.

Operation Herof, launched on the night of August 25 and 26, saw BLA fighters seizing control of main roads and police stations across more than ten districts in Balochistan, targeting Pakistani military personnel in a series of coordinated attacks. The most significant and deadly attack took place in Bela, where the BLA’s Majeed Brigade launched an intense assault on the main headquarters of the Pakistani army. Seven suicide bombers from BLA’s Majeed Brigade managed to hold the headquarters for twenty hours. The attack was initiated by Mahal Baloch, also known as Zilan Kurd, a female suicide bomber who drove an explosives-laden vehicle into the target, marking her as the third female suicide bomber from BLA.

Operation Herof has intensified the BLA’s insurgency in Balochistan, highlighting the group’s ability to carry out large-scale and coordinated attacks against Pakistani forces across multiple regions.
