A rare whale was found dead on the shores of Gadani, a coastal city in Balochistan.
According to details, the rare whale was discovered yesterday in the coastal area of Gadani, Balochistan. The whale is reported to be 5 to 6 feet long, with an estimated weight of 70 to 80 kilograms.
It is noteworthy that oil sludge and other chemicals from decommissioned ships at the Gadani shipbreaking yard are often discharged into the sea. This pollution is leading to the extermination of marine life, and there is a lack of government measures to protect the sea.
The fishing industry in Gadani, along with Hubco Dam, Bhaddi Wari, and Hingol, is facing significant losses. Due to the neglect of environmental protection agencies and other authorities, Balochistan is becoming increasingly barren, and fishermen are struggling to make ends meet. The provincial government should compel shipbreaking industry owners to dispose of chemicals and oil from decommissioned ships away from the sea, local fishermen demanded.
It should also be noted that several dead fish have been found on the shores of Balochistan multiple times in the recent past.
