The sit-in protest camp of Voice for Baloch Missing Persons (VBMP) for the safe recovery of Missing persons Completed its 5496th day in front of the Quetta press club.
Sibghatullah Convener of Baloch Yakjehti Committee Makran and others visited the camp in solidarity with the families.
Addressing the visitors Vice Chairman of VBMP, Mama Qadeer Baloch said that the Baloch nation’s struggle for sovereignty has continued for seven decades, and hundreds of youths were picked up and disappeared by Pakistani forces. Due to the lack of media and political maturity of the Baloch people, no formal records are collected in the form of documents. After 2000, political and intellectual maturity in the struggle of Baloch people increased slightly with time and conditions.
Mama Qadir Baloch said that since the beginning of this century, the forced abduction of Baloch youths by the Pakistani forces and their uncertain fate is against international human rights laws. The state of Pakistan has left no stone unturned in throwing away the mutilated bodies of thousands of youths, but in this decision of the peaceful struggle for the recovery of their loved ones, the Baloch tried to bring organization and discipline by realizing the tricks of the imperialist force, and because of this discipline that thousands of Baloch youths have lost their lives. There is evidence of forced abduction by Pakistani forces, and the Pakistani courts themselves are well aware of it, said Qadeer Baloch.
He said that their organization VBMP’s historical peaceful struggle does not hesitate to knock on the doors of every institution that claims to be a pioneer of human social rights. The long peaceful struggle is an important step for the recovery of Baloch youths.
He further said that the historic protest camp of the families of Baloch missing persons who were continuously detained by the state forces has brought the voice of Pakistani oppression against the Baloch nation to every forum in the world. If the international organizations still maintain silence then the world will be an equal participant in the Baloch genocide
In the end, he said that in the face of the current situation and Pakistan’s changing counter-insurgency strategies, the political foundations of the Baloch national movement must be further strengthened to successfully adapt to these circumstances.
