A Pakistani soldier was reportedly killed, and fourteen others, including civilians, were injured in two separate explosions targeting Pakistani forces’ vehicles in Buleda and Pishin towns of Balochistan on Friday.
According to reports, unidentified individuals targeted a vehicle of Pakistani forces in the Buleda area of Kech district with an IED, resulting in the death of a Pakistani soldier and injuring eight others. Following the explosion, Pakistani forces cordoned off the area and shifted the deceased and injured to the Teaching Hospital in Turbat.
Hospital sources told The Balochistan Post correspondent that paramilitary Naik Sher Khan was killed, and Sepoy Junaid, Sepoy Asif Rashid, Sepoy Waheed, Sepoy Usman Ghani, Sepoy Asim, Sepoy Nadir, and Sepoy Rahim were injured in the attack. The condition of two of the injured is said to be critical.
In another similar incident, unidentified individuals bombed a Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) vehicle in Pishin, a Pashtun-dominated area of Balochistan.
According to the police, six people, including three CTD personnel and three civilians, were injured in a remote-controlled explosion that targeted the CTD vehicle on Bund Khushdal Khan Road in Pishin district. The injured have been shifted to Civil Hospital in Pishin for medical treatment.
Following the explosion, police and FC sealed the area and started an investigation. No group has claimed responsibility for the two bombings at the time of filing this report.
