Saira Baloch, Sadia Baloch, and other Baloch women who were detained by Pakistani forces in Khuzdar have been released after four hours due to strong public resistance.
Dr. Mahrang Baloch, a prominent Baloch activist, confirmed the release. “The people of Khuzdar freed Saira Baloch, Sadia Baloch, and other Baloch women through the power of public resistance. Residents resisted continuously for four hours in front of state military vehicles, ultimately succeeding in securing their release,” she said.
In response to the detentions, a significant number of Khuzdar residents took to the streets and blocked the Quetta-Karachi highway, demanding action against the conduct of the state forces. The protesters are calling for accountability and immediate action regarding the behavior of the security forces.
Dr. Baloch urged the people of Khuzdar to join the protest in greater numbers, emphasizing the importance of public solidarity. “I appeal to the people of Khuzdar to join this protest in greater numbers and use the power of the people to defeat this oppressive system,” she added.
