Prominent Baloch activist and organizer of the Baloch Yakjehti Committee (BYC), Dr. Mahrang Baloch, has urged the Baloch people to gather in Gwadar on July 28 for the Baloch Raaji Muchi (Baloch National Gathering) to demonstrate the unity and resilience of the Baloch people to the world.

In a post on the social media platform ‘X’, Dr. Mahrang Baloch emphasized the enduring resistance of the Baloch people. “The resistance for the defense of our nation and our land was alive, is alive, and will continue to be alive,” she said.

The Baloch Raaji Muchi (Baloch National Gathering), announced earlier this month, seeks to unite the Baloch nation against “state oppression, including enforced disappearances, torture, targeted killings, and economic exploitation.”

The Baloch Yakjehti Committee (BYC) has been organizing corner meetings in different parts of Balochistan, with the latest held in the Sariab and Hudda areas of Quetta and Killi Qadirabad area of Noshki, to raise awareness about the upcoming event.

BYC leader Sebghatullah Shah Ji stated that the Baloch National Gathering would transcend organizational and party lines. “For the first time, Baloch people from different backgrounds will unite as one,” he said. “Whenever the call for unity and solidarity is made, we will demonstrate our unity to the world as one nation.”

The Baloch Yakjehti Committee (BYC) has also issued a pamphlet highlighting the significance of the July 28 event, describing it as a day of national importance for the Baloch people.

“July 28 is not just an ordinary day but a day of Baloch national significance,” the pamphlet reads. “It marks the beginning of an organized struggle to recover loved ones imprisoned in Pakistani torture cells and to end the genocide of the Baloch people.”

The pamphlet calls for unity and strength, urging the Baloch people to gather in Gwadar to protest against their ongoing persecution and resource exploitation. “It is a day to demonstrate national pride, dignity, and courage, to stop the tears of Baloch mothers, sisters, and children, and to resolve to end ongoing violations of their privacy and sanctity,” the pamphlet states.

Addressing the Baloch nation, the pamphlet continues: “Brave Baloch people, think carefully for once. Can we, as Baloch, not gather in one place, leaving our homes and areas for one day, to tell the whole world that enough is enough? We will no longer tolerate our genocide, enforced disappearances, mass killings, the violation of our honor and dignity, and the plundering of our coast and resources on our own land.”

The pamphlet concludes by urging the Baloch nation to come out in force on July 28. “Neither the Baloch people nor Baloch land is abandoned. Our resistance for the defense of our nation and land was alive, is alive, and will remain alive,” it declares.
