Dr. Mahrang Baloch, a prominent Baloch activist and organizer of the Baloch Yakjehti Committee (BYC), has called on the Baloch people to unite and fully participate in the ‘Baloch Raaji Muchi’ (Baloch National Gathering) on July 28, 2024, in Gwadar, Balochistan.
In a statement on the social media platform X, Dr. Baloch highlighted the suffering of thousands of Baloch youths and elders who have endured severe mental and physical torture in Pakistani military cells over the past 25 years. She described them as “living corpses,” caught between life and death, hoping someone will raise their voice for them.
“Can we not unite one day in the warm and majestic breezes of Gwadar to raise an effective and storm-breaking voice for our loved ones?” she asked. Dr. Baloch questioned if the Baloch people could unite to prevent future suffering for their children. “Can we not unite and feel the pain and suffering of our innocent and orphaned children to save more of our children from becoming orphans in the future?”
“Will we continue to bow our heads and witness the tears and sobs of our mothers and sisters, claiming we are a living nation? Will this silence, this fear, this cowardice not be a black mark on our foreheads?” she continued.
Dr. Baloch emphasized that ‘Baloch Raaji Muchi’ is a political process but also an expression of the agony and pain inflicted on the Baloch nation by the state over the past 75 years. She further warned that the state has decided to intensify what she described as the ‘Baloch genocide.’
She urged the Baloch people to transcend political and factional differences and unite solely as Baloch to fulfill their national responsibilities. She called for full participation in the ‘Baloch Raaji Muchi’ on July 28 in Gwadar.
