Ten people have died and 1,799 have been affected by monsoon rains in Balochistan, according to the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA).
Since June 7, incidents related to the heavy rains, including roof and wall collapses, have resulted in 10 fatalities and 31 injuries, with children among the casualties, according to the PDMA report.
The heavy rains have also caused significant property damage, with 89 houses completely destroyed and 170 partially damaged across various districts.
Additionally, 17 kilometers of roads and 310 acres of agricultural land have been affected, the report says.
Despite the heavy rainfall, the condition of dams in Balochistan remains stable. Relief efforts by PDMA and district administrations are ongoing in the affected areas, the report adds.
