Two individuals were forcibly taken by unknown assailants in Balochistan’s district Surab. A day later, one victim was found dead, bearing signs of torture, while the other was barely clinging to life, critically wounded.
According to initial reports, the abduction occurred along the Link Road Naghar in Surab. The detainees were identified as Khair Muhammad Mirwani and Abdul Nabi, both residents of Naghar. The two detainees were taken to an undisclosed location after the abduction.
One of the detainees, Abdul Qadir Mirwani, was killed. His mutilated and maimed dead body, bearing signs of severe physical trauma, was discovered in the Tok area of Kalat. The other victim, Abdul Nabi, was found critically wounded, barely clinging to life.
The victims’ families protested against the incident, blocking the main Quetta-Karachi highway, and causing traffic congestion. The motive behind this incident and the identities of the perpetrators remain unverified.

A similar incident was also reported in Balochistan’s district Kech where a young man faced detention at the hands of an alleged ‘death squad’. Days later, his bullet-riddled body surfaced in district Panjgur. The victim was identified as Naveed son of Lal Baksh.
