Two separate attacks targeted Pakistani security forces and a ‘state informant’ in Balochistan’s Kech district. The Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) and the Balochistan Liberation Front (BLF) have claimed responsibility for the attacks in the Tump and Hoth Abad areas of Kech, respectively.

In a media statement, Jeeyand Baloch, the spokesperson for the BLA, said that BLA fighters launched multiple grenade attacks on a Pakistani forces’ post in Kasano, Tump, on March 14, resulting in both material and human losses. He emphasized that such actions are part of the BLA’s commitment to continue its operations “until the complete withdrawal of the occupying forces.”

In a separate attack in the Hoth Abad area of Kech, Major Gwahram Baloch, the spokesperson for the BLF, claimed responsibility for killing a state informant identified as Balach Bashir.

Major Gwahram Baloch accused Balach Bashir of betraying the Baloch cause by collaborating with the Pakistani army’s intelligence agency, MI, after renegading from the BLF in 2019. According to Mjr Gwahram, Bashir was involved in operations against Baloch activists and played a significant role in what he described as military ‘brutality’ and enforced disappearances in several areas.

The BLF spokesperson warned that anyone betraying the Baloch land and nation by facilitating the ‘occupying enemy’ state’s actions against the Baloch people remains a target.

As of this report, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the media wing of Pakistan’s military, has not issued any comments on the incidents or the claims made by the Baloch armed groups.
