The “Balochistan Kitaab Karwaan,” an initiative by the Baloch Students Action Committee (BSAC), was successfully organized in Mangochar’s Khaliqabad area on Thursday. The event, featuring a diverse selection of books, attracted a wide-ranging audience that included students, teachers, and people from various walks of life. The attendees actively participated in exploring and purchasing books.

Members of the BSAC, including Aamir Baloch, Naseebullah Baloch, Tanveer Baloch, Dr. Aqib Baloch, and Ejaz Baloch, emphasized the crucial role of reading in nurturing critical thinking and understanding complex societal and global issues. They pointed out that engaging with literature enhances analytical skills and equips individuals to better understand and interpret various issues, thereby making them less susceptible to false narratives.

The central spokesperson of the BSAC, in a media statement, outlined the progress of the “Balochistan Kitaab Karwaan,” mentioning that book stalls have been set up in multiple cities across Balochistan since the beginning of the year. These stalls, located in Jiwani, Malir, Pasni, Ormara, Bela, Hoshap, Tump, Turbat, DG Khan, Mangochar, Kharan, Uthal, and Gwadar, are part of an effort to promote literary interest among the Baloch youth.

The spokesperson announced that the book fair initiative would continue, with events planned in additional cities including Pasni, Ormara, Buleda, Tajaban, and Rakni. This series of book fairs is a significant movement towards educating Balochistan’s youth and fostering a culture of reading, intellectual curiosity, and awareness.
