Baloch “pro-independence” groups, the Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) and the Balochistan Liberation Front (BLF) have each claimed responsibility for separate attacks on Pakistani security forces, resulting in multiple casualties.

In a media statement, Jeeyand Baloch, the spokesperson for the BLA, claimed responsibility for an ambush on Pakistani security forces and Frontier Works Organization (FWO) patrol in the Archenan area of Zamuran. The statement indicated that the attack occurred on Saturday and involved automatic weapons. It led to the death of one Pakistani soldier and injuries to at least two others.

In a corresponding media statement, Major Gwahram Baloch, thforcese spokesperson for the BLF, claimed responsibility for an attack on a Pakistani forces camp in Malarkan, Awaran. According to the statement, the attack took place around 5:30 PM on Saturday and involved several units of the BLF.

Mjr Gwahram Baloch stated that the attack, which involved heavy and automatic weapons, lasted over an hour and resulted in the death of three soldiers and injuries to four others. The BLF’s spokesperson emphasized the strategic execution of the attack and its impact on the Pakistani security forces.

Both groups have framed these attacks as part of their ongoing struggle against what they describe as the “occupation” of Balochistan by Pakistani forces.

As of the time of this report, there has been no immediate response from the ISPR regarding these attacks or the statements by the BLA and BLF.
