Mohammad Deen Baloch, a resident of Ormara, convened a press conference at the Pasni Press Club, alleging the abduction of his son, Amjad. He claimed this incident was a retaliation to his protest against what he described as the illegal seizure of 300 acres of land by a “land mafia” in the Bhatail Housing Scheme, Ormara, District Gwadar.
Baloch stated that his 11-year-old son was taken from Ormara, implicating officials from the Ormara Levies Force in the alleged abduction. He recounted an incident where he himself was shot, sustaining injuries, and claimed his home was looted in his absence. Baloch also expressed frustration at the alleged reluctance of government authorities to register his First Information Report (FIR).
He emphasized that his protest was directed against the “land mafia’s” alleged illegal occupation of land in the Bhatail Housing Scheme, a project reportedly funded by the local community. Baloch asserted that this land, valued at millions, was unlawfully taken and sold by the “mafia.” Additionally, he claimed that more than two dozen of his camels were shot and killed.
Despite multiple visits to the local police station, Baloch says his FIR has not been lodged, prompting him to turn to the media for attention. He claimed to have identified individuals, including Levies Force officials, involved in his son’s disappearance, but alleged inaction from local authorities.
Baloch appealed to the provincial government and higher authorities for help in recovering his son and taking action against those allegedly involved in the land dispute and the activities of the “land mafia.”
