A doctor has tragically died after a medical convoy was delayed by the Coast Guard in Winder, according to the Young Doctors Association (YDA).
The convoy, which included five ambulances en route from Quetta to Karachi, was reportedly held for three hours. The YDA alleges that this delay contributed to the death of the doctor, who was undergoing treatment for the Congo virus.
The YDA has reported 16 Congo virus cases in Quetta and has voiced criticism over the lack of government support for health facilities. The association is holding the government responsible for the death, citing the interim government’s response as inadequate.
