In Balochistan’s Zhob, an attack on the Pakistani security forces in the early hours of Friday left four people dead and five others critically injured.
The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the media wing of Pakistan’s military, confirmed the incident in a press release and identified the deceased soldiers as Havaldar Sattar, Lance Naik Sher Azam, Lance Naik Adnan, and Sepoy Nadeem.
The ISPR also reported the deaths of three assailants in a subsequent retaliatory operation; however, this claim has yet to be verified independently.
It is noteworthy that the area is known for the active presence of Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), which has previously claimed responsibility for numerous attacks on the security forces. However, no group has claimed responsibility for this attack yet.
