The Baloch Liberation Tigers (BLT), an armed “pro-independence” group, has released four individuals who were arrested earlier this month in Tehsil Sui of Dera Bugti. BLT’s spokesperson, Miran Baloch, disclosed this development in a media statement.
The spokesperson said that the four individuals were detained on September 8. After a “comprehensive investigation”, the BLT found no substantiating evidence to justify their continued detention or any further punitive actions, the spokesperson said.
Miran Baloch also said that their release was facilitated based on assurances from tribal leaders, who have committed that these individuals will refrain from affiliating or involving themselves with any state machinery in the future.
