At least 11 people, including PDM spokesman and JUI leader Hafiz Hamdullah, were injured in a blast in the Mastung district of Balochistan on Thursday.

According to the police, a roadside explosion occurred near the vehicle of Jamiat Leader in Mastung. Shortly after the incident, law enforcement officials and rescue teams arrived at the scene.

JUI-F spokesman Aslam Ghauri informed the media that Hafiz Hamdullah had sustained minor injuries in the blast, while two associates of Hafiz were also injured.

Deputy Commissioner Mastung, Abdul Razzaq Sasoli, confirmed to the media that Hafiz Hamdullah’s condition is stable and received first aid at a hospital in Mastung. Subsequently, he and two other injured individuals were transferred to Quetta for further treatment.

The Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) Balochistan spokesperson stated that the blast was executed using explosives planted on a motorcycle, which were detonated by remote control. Approximately 5 to 6 kilograms of explosives were used in the explosion.

Meanwhile, The Islamic State Pakistan (ISPP) claimed responsibility for the attack in a media statement, attributing it to a remote-controlled blast targeting JUI-F leader Hafiz Hamdullah.
