Passenger coach owners staged a significant protest on in the Winder area of Balochistan’s Lasbela district resulting in the blockage of the Quetta-Karachi National RCD highway. This demonstration, aimed at expressing dissatisfaction with personnel of the Pakistan Coast Guards, deployed in the region.
According to reports, the blockade led to widespread disruption, leaving hundreds of vehicles stranded in on the highway. The distressed passengers were caught in the crossfire of this demonstration.
This protest serves as a culmination of long-standing concerns and reservations expressed by transporters of Balochistan. Repeatedly, they have voiced their dissatisfaction regarding the presence of check posts established by the Pakistani Coast Guard along the highways in the region. Transporters have fervently demanded the removal of these checkpoints to ensure smoother travel and alleviate the grievances of the local populace.
Transporters allege that the behavior exhibited by the Coast Guard has been characterized as harsh and unreasonable. In an earnest appeal to the authorities, they implore the removal of unnecessary check posts manned by the security forces along the highways.
