The Baloch Liberation Army’s (BLA) media wing, Hakkal, has released a video featuring the two members of the BLA’s Majeed Brigade who reportedly attacked a convoy of Chinese engineers in Gwadar, Balochistan, on 13th August.
The video, spanning roughly nine minutes, began with footage of two members of the BLA’s Majeed Brigade—Naveed Baloch, alias Aslam, and Maqbool Baloch, alias Qaim—undergoing training. Both attackers addressed the Baloch nation, emphasizing their motivations and views.
Naveed Baloch began by addressing the ongoing conflict on Baloch land, pointing out, “The state of Pakistan has forcefully brought this war to the Baloch people, leading to Baloch genocide.” Drawing the youth’s attention, he stressed the importance of their involvement, suggesting dire consequences for the Baloch if the war doesn’t progress, potentially culminating in their eradication.
Naveed, referencing past martyrs in the Baloch struggle like Shari Baloch, General Aslam Baloch, and others, insisted upon the importance of sacrifices made by individuals. He emphasized the significance of historical movements that eventually led to the rise of developed nations and urged the Baloch to follow a similar trajectory. he emphasized, “Nations that have historically triumphed have waged wars, defeated their enemies, and are now recognized as developed nations.”
In a distinct message to Baloch women, Naveed underscored their bravery and potential role in the war, referencing Shari Baloch as an exemplar. He urged their participation in the ongoing struggle, emphasizing the importance of the current generation in shaping the destiny of future Baloch generations.
In the same vein, Maqbool Baloch directed his message primarily to the Baloch youth, describing his own journey towards choosing a path of resistance. He spoke of sacrifice as a necessity for the reclamation of Baloch identity and sovereignty. Maqbool expressed gratitude to individuals who, according to him, allowed him to join the ranks of the Majeed Brigade.
A notable portion of the video highlighted threats directed towards any nation perceived to be aiding Pakistan in its alleged endeavors against the Baloch. The overarching message from both speakers was one of continued resistance, with repeated references to sacrifice for their homeland.
The video’s climax offered a visual display of the Brigade’s military capabilities, with both featured members showcased alongside an array of weapons. Subsequently, a formation of almost ten armed individuals was presented, reinforcing the brigade’s preparedness and strength.
