The cases of enforced disappearances of Baloch youth across Balochistan witness a rapid increase as ten more youths have been reportedly abducted allegedly by the Pakistani law-enforcement forces.

According to reports, Pakistani forces conducted a house raid and forcibly detained a Baloch youth from Quetta, the capital city of Balochistan on Tuesday night. The missing student has been identified as Ibrar Shah, son of Syed Faqir Shah, a resident of Kharan.

Sources say that Ibrar Shah is an FSC student and has been preparing for upcoming medical exams in Quetta – “Pakistani forces and intelligence agencies raided his room near the Children’s Hospital on Quetta’s Quarry Road around 2 am and forcibly disappeared him” sources said.

Another Baloch youth identified as Nabi Baksh son of Mohammad, a resident of Balgatar, Kech was whisked away by Pakistani forces from A1 city in Quetta.

Similarly, on the night of August 6, Pakistani forces reportedly surrounded Pullabad area of Tump and raided a house of a man named Barkat Murad and detained him along with his three sons.

Barkat’s sons are identified as Shaukat Murad, Babat Murad and Ayaz Murad.

It should be mentioned that earlier on July 15, the Pakistani forces reportedly raided the man’s house and tortured women and children and detained Murad. However, he was later released.

Meanwhile, there are reports from Kharan that Pakistani forces have been continuously conducting military raids in different areas of Kharan since August 1.

During the search operations, several people have been reportedly forcibly disappeared from Kharan. However, The Balochistan Post could only verify the identification of the three of them — The ones identified were Kashif Ebbari, Samad Sasoli, Mohammad Isa Domki and Hafeez Loraja.

On the other hand, Fayyaz Ali, who went missing for the second time from Quetta this month, has been recovered and reached his home.

Meanwhile, Murad son of Abdul Malik, a resident of Dazin Tump, who went missing after being detained during the operation on the night of August 12 from Kech district, has also returned home.
