Gunmen shot dead two paramilitary Levies force personnel in Quetta, the Capital of Balochistan on Monday.
According to reports, gunmen opened fire at a Vigo vehicle at Pishin stop in Quetta, after killing both occupants of the vehicle while a passerby was also injured in the firing.
The deceased were identified as Levies officials namely Mohammad Yousuf and Levies driver Ziauddin, while a passerby child was injured in the firing and was rushed to a nearby hospital.
The vehicle belongs to Balochistan Awami Party (BAP) leader and Federal Minister for Defence Production, Muhammad Israr Tareen.
Both deceased are said to be the guards of the Federal Minister’s nephew Sardar Shahzad Tareen.
The motive behind the incident is yet to be ascertained, and further investigation is underway by the police and law enforcement agencies.
