Pakistani Prime Minister, Shehbaz Sharif, who has been in office since 2022, is set to visit the Kech district in Balochistan today. His schedule includes a power project ceremony and a trip to the border area at Mand. During this visit, he is scheduled to meet with Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi at the Goldsmith Line.
Several Federal Ministers and provincial government officials are also scheduled to attend the ceremony, which is for the initiation of a power project designed to supply the port city of Gwadar.
In preparation for Sharif’s visit, security measures have been bolstered across Kech. According to reports from Turbat, the district capital, there has been a significant increase in drone and helicopter patrols, especially in mountainous regions such as Mazan Band. Additionally, a substantial military force has been mobilized in anticipation of the Pakistani PM’s arrival.
