A female school teacher has committed suicide in Balochistan’s Awaran district after being repeatedly blackmailed for working with Pakistani intelligence agencies.

The woman has been identified as Najma, a resident of the Gishkaur area of Awaran on Tuesday.

Local sources told TBP that a man named Noor Bakhsh, a policeman allegedly on the payroll of Pakistan’s intelligence agencies, has been blackmailing the woman to work for Pakistani intelligence agencies.

It is to be mentioned that such incidents have been reported multiple times in Balochistan, where people have been forced to commit suicide due to the ‘repression’ from the security forces.

Despite the ‘enforced disappearance’ of Ajab Yalanzai by the CTD on October 23 and the arrest of his uncle Shafqat Yalanzai on charges of murdering retired Justice Muskan Zahi, Pakistani forces reportedly continued to raid Ajab Yalanzai’s house.

Tired of physical and mental torture on the family members along with the violation of the boundary wall, the wife of young Latifullah Yalanazai committed suicide, on which her grieving husband also ended his life.

Earlier, Chakar Majeed committed suicide in the Sarikan area of Kech as a result of pressure from the Pakistani army. Three years ago, in March 2019, Pakistani forces raided Sarikan and detained Chakar and detained him for 10 months, and released him after severe mental and physical torture.

Even after his release, the army continued to call him to the camp and pressured him to work against Baloch activists, but Chakar preferred suicide rather than working for the army.
