An eight-year-old girl was allegedly raped in Uthal city of Lasbela district on Monday, while the police said that they have captured the accused within an hour of the incident.
The police said that the accused, identified as Rashid Ali s/o Umeed Ali resident of Uthal on Monday night directly entered the house and forcefully raped the girl, and fled the scene.
The police and the doctors have confirmed the incident. While the police arrested the culprit after one hour of the incident, police said that further investigation is underway.
It is to be mentioned that similar cases of child sexual abuse have surfaced in Balochistan many times. Last month, on 29th March Pakistani army officer, has allegedly tried to sexually assault a 6-year-old boy in Gwadar, the coastal city of Balochistan.
Residents of the area have blocked the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) route in protest against the incident, and the protest continues.
