Work begins in seven new mining sites in Balochistan’s Saindak region.
An increase is being noticed in Rekodiq’s importance, says Yasir Shaheen Khalil of the Geological Survey of Pakistan.
The Assistant Director of the Geological Survey of Pakistan, Mr. Shaheen Khalil, said that besides the basic infrastructure, water must also be served to mining laborers so that the operations move on smoothly.
Talking to Wealth Pak, he said seven new mining sites will be opened shortly to extract Copper, Molybdenum, and Gold in Balochistan’s Chaghi, Saindak, and Dasht-Kin areas.
He said that multinational companies from China, Canada, and Australia have attained leases for mining on some sites. These days, Lithium is in high demand, he added.
Khalil also said that more requests had been forwarded to the government of Balochistan for mining works. Copper is another important resource usually used in vehicles and solar panels. Due to the large extracts of copper, Rekodik is gaining more and more importance in the region, he added.
