According to reports, unknown armed men opened fire and killed a policeman in Balochistan’s Khuzdar district on Tuesday evening. Police sources confirmed the news saying that gunmen opened fire and killed a police constable on the spot, who’s identified as Zia.

The attackers managed to escape unhurt from the scene. Police reached the spot and shifted the dead body to the civil hospital in Khuzdar. Police also launched an investigation into the incident.

This incident has come a day later when Police were attacked twice on Monday in Balochistan’s capital city Quetta — which resulted in the killing of at least 4 policemen and injuring several others. In both attacks on Monday, two high-ups of the Police department were targeted and the responsibility for the attacks was taken by a Baloch “pro-independence” armed group known as the Baloch Liberation Army. While no group has claimed responsibility for Tuesday’s attack.
