Iranian security forces have detained four Baloch citizens from different parts of Zahedan city of Western Balochistan.
According to the eyewitnesses, the four detained individuals were harshly beaten and then taken into custody by plain-clothed personnel of the security forces.
The detained youngsters have been identified as 17-year-old Ali Regi Mohammad, 17-year-old Adil Sanjrani, 18-year-old Rahmeen Salarzahi, and 18-year-old Afsheen Regi Notezai.
According to reports, Adil, Afsheen, and Rahmeen were taken into custody while they were returning home from Makki Masjid on January 27. While Ali was taken into custody from a local street on January 30.
The family of the detainees expressed that they haven’t received any information regarding the whereabouts of their detained children.
It should be noted that Iranian security forces are accused of arresting the participants of the massive demonstrations which are carried out every Friday in Zahedan since September last year.
These demonstrations started when a 15-year-old minor girl was sexually assaulted by a police chief in the coastal belt of Western Balochistan, Chabahar. Locals held protests against the incident and expressed their anger. The protests were fueled when several protestors were gunned down reportedly by the Iranian forces.
