Corps Commander Balochistan Asif Ghafoor visited Gwadar after crackdowns and arrests on the sit-in of Haq Do Tehreek in the coastal city of Gwadar and assessed the situation.

Asif Ghafoor met with dignitaries of the area and local administration during his visit.

Gwadar senior local leader Sulaiman Baloch said that the corps commander called us to him and warned that if the roads are closed again, he will put everyone in jail.

He said: “We have made it clear that we will continue to protest together with Maulana until our demands are met.”

Sulaiman Baloch said that on the occasion of the corps commander’s visit, several councillors, including me, were called to the Coast Guard camp. We thought they would solve the problems, but they threatened and warned us to abandon our protest.

Sulaiman Baloch said that protest is our democratic right, and we will continue to protest for our demands.
